Vedic literature is the oldest literature of the year in India.
Apart from Vedas, Vedic literature also includes Brahmanical texts.
In the early days the richas of the Vedas were orally preserved hereditarily.
As the number of interests increased, so did their systematic collection.
The collector of the Vedas was Maharshi Vedavyas.
He collected the tastes of the Vedas in four "Samhitas".
Over time, Brahmanical texts were compiled on each Vedic code.
These are written in prose in Brahmanical texts.
It explains the meaning of Vedic mantras and gives guidance on rituals related to Yajna.
The Aitareya and Kaushitaki Brahmanical texts are associated with the Rigveda and the Taitriya and Satpath Brahmanical texts with the Yajurveda.

“Satpath” is a huge scripture and it is the most important of all the Brahmin scriptures.
