Leadership is required, when the people are working in a group for achieving specific objectives and leader by his attitude and behaviour channelizes the efforts of the group members in a proper direction.
In the industrial units, employees are working in a group to achieve common business objectives and a leader by his attitude and behaviour channelizes the efforts of the group members in a proper direction.

Only with the help of effective leadership, the co-operatives attitude, loyalty and honesty can be achieved in employees.

Meaning of leadership :

Thus, leadership is a continuous process.
Acceptance of Leadership :

Creates Formal and Effective Relations :
Formally, leader is the heads of specific group, but informally the leader can influence the person coming in to his contact and stimulate them for achievement of objective.
Ideal personality :
A leader must be an ideal person.
He influences his subordinates by his behaviour and nature.
He is having in born qualities, while some qualities are cultivated.
Motivation :
A successful leader gets expected result from his subordinates by appreciating and admiring their efforts.
Harmony of Interest :
There must be harmony of interest between the leader and his subordinates.
Leadership becomes ineffective and useless, if their interest are at variance $($different$).$
Effect on situation :
The success of a leader depends on certain circumstances. If there is a change in the situation, a leader does not get the expected success.
