Cross aldol condensation : When aldol condensation occurs between two different aldehyde or ketones then this is called cross aldol condensation. If two compounds have $\alpha$-Hydrogen then mixture of four products is obtained. Example : Aldol condensation reaction of mixture of Ethanal and Propanal occurs as follows :
