There have been periodic foreign invasions on the tide.
Such attacks were initiated by the Arabs.
The Arabs made the first invasion of Mumbai and Thane, the second invasion of Valabhi and the third invasion of Sindh.
Sindh was invaded by Muhammad Binkasi.

After the demise of Binkasim, Jaisingh once again asserted his authority over Brahmanabad.
Upon hearing this news, the Arab caliph appointed Junaid as governor of Sindh and ordered the defeat of Jaisingh.
Junaid attacked and defeated Jaisingh.
After this Junaid invaded Gujarat and some parts of Rajasthan and established his dominance there.
But his campaign was short$-$lived.
Lat's Chalukya king Avanijanashraye.
Gurjar Pratihar Raja Nagbhatt $II,$ Raja Lalitaditya Muktapide of Kashmir as well as King Yashovarma of Kanoja successfully repulsed the Arab invasions.
Thus, due to the prowess and dominance of the Rajput kings, the Arabs did not succeed in advancing from Sindh.
