Distinguish between primary sector and secondary sector by stating four points of distinction.

Primary Sector:-
  1. When goods are produced by exploiting natural resources, it is an activity of primary sector.
  2. It includes agriculture related sector consisting of dairy, fishing, forestry, etc.
  3. The share of the primary sector in terms of GDP has decreased.
  4. Primary sector employed almost half of the workers in the country.
Secondary Sector:-
  1. The secondary sector employs less no. of population, thus it still lags behind the primary sector.
  2. The share of secondary sector has remained constant in terms of GDP.
  3. This sector is also called the manufacturing sector which includes industries, construction activities, etc.
  4. It covers activities in which natural products are changed into other forms.
