Explain about the qualifications of Chairman.

INTRODUCTION: -The company is an artificial person based on the law. The administration of the company runs democratically. Good managers and workers working for proper management and proper progress are required. Action decisions are taken about the proper functioning, in which the Chairperson is Chairman.
  • Meaning: - "The person chosen by the members to be elected to the company's meeting is known as the chairman."
  • "The person who is appointed by the company's council to administer the meeting is called the speaker, to run the proceedings properly".
  • Selection of Chairman: - The person who is known as the Chairman or the Chairman of the Board, appointed as the Head of the Company Meeting to run the proceedings and conduct in a quiet environment in a systematic manner.
  • If a chairman has not been selected in the meeting, then the meeting is not considered legal, in general, the head of the administration handles the appointment as the Chairman.
  • The chairman handles the entire council.
  • The assigned tasks of the meeting are arranged in a certain order, the chairman plays an important role in making the right decisions and resolutions at the appropriate discussion.
  • If a director is not ready to act as an ordinance or if a director is not available in 15 minutes after the scheduled time of the meeting, then the present members can choose / select one of their own.

  • Qualifications: A chairman is the leader of the meeting. Therefore, he must possess sufficient experience of conducting of meeting. He must possess some basic qualities that are as under :
(1) He should have knowledge of the rights and duties of the chairman.
(2) He should have practical experience of conducting the proceedings of the meeting.
(3) He should have sufficient legal knowledge of the company laws and Articles of Association of The Companies Act.
(4) He should be able to handle the situation at times of conflict and tension which may arise at the meeting.
(5) Effective personality.
(6) The knowledge of Economics, Company, Progress, Development and Trade.
