Just like learning and perception, the principle of generalization can be seen in attitude. Attitudes based on individual experience become generalized towards the group or community to which he belongs. For example : when a girl from rich family gets married to a boy of middle class family, people believe that a girl from rich family will not do any work. On the basis of this, they generalize that girls of rich family can not manage household affairs. In the similar manner, an individual cheated once or twice by a businessman generalizes that all the businessmen are cheaters. This is how, attitudes formed on the basis of individual experience pass on from the individual to the group to which he belongs.
