Taro was a very thoughtful son. He worked hard all day by chopping wood but could not earn enough. He however, wanted to give his old parents everything that they needed. One cold evening, his father expressed the desire to drink the expensive drink saké. Hence, Taro wanted to earn more money to buy that drink which would provide his father some warmth in the bitter cold.
