Explain the types of mood swings.

  • There are three main types of mood swings.
  • (1) Frustration (2) Conflict (2) Pressure
(1) Frustration
  • Depression is a mental condition that arises due to an obstacle in the way of achieving a goal which results in not reaching the goal.
  • Man has physical, mental, social and other needs. Which is an attempt to meet the requirement.
  • E.g. Hunger seems to find food right away but not every need is as common as hunger.
  • Depression is born out of dissatisfaction or delay.
  • A young man wants to ride a motorcycle but his father does not fulfill his need and the young man becomes frustrated.
  • The causes of depression are personal or environmental.
  • Depression has mild or severe side effects.
  • Mild depression is born out of everyday activity.
  • While severe depression has a detrimental effect on physical, mental health or its entire existence.
(2) Conflict:
  • Conflict is an indecisive state of mind that arises when a person has two or more options and has to choose one of them.
  • If the conflict lasts a long time it has an emotional impact on a person’s life.
  • There are three main types of conflict:
(A) Approach - Approach (B) Ascension - Ascension
(A) Approach- Ascension Conflict:
  • When a person has two options and chooses both but has to choose one of them, there is an approach-conflict.
  • E.g. when a young man is offered a job in a good company and an offer of admission to a college for higher studies, he struggles to decide which of the two options is better ....
(B) Ascension - Ascension conflict:
  • Ascension - Ascension conflict occurs when a person has two options and does not like both options but has to choose one of them.
  • In this conflict, there is a ditch ahead and a well behind.
  • When a young man does not get a job according to his qualifications, he is offered two unqualified jobs and when both of them do not like him, it is obligatory to choose one of them.
(3) Approach-Ascension Conflict:
  • The mental state that arises when a person has only one option but sometimes feels unattractive and sometimes unattractive is called attachment- Ascension conflict.
  • E.g. When a young man who has reached the age of marriage is ready to get married but is not able to fulfill the responsibilities that arise due to it, he faces an approach-conflict.
(3) Pressure:
  • "Imaginary or real demands raised by other people or situations cannot be met. The mental state that arises from such thoughts is pressure."
  • Pressure is inevitable in modern lifestyles.
  • In everyday life many pressures arise which have internal and external causes.
  • Pressure arises from ambition and life goals.
  • In today's competitive life, working for hours to achieve a goal, working hard, getting the most out of the options you have, the pressure to pay constant attention and often the pressure from family and other members.
