Each person has status in the society and has corresponding roles which are played as per the culture of that society.
Carrying out the roleis not as important as the society accepting and acknowledging that particular role.
Each group has its own culture which differs from place to place, society to society. They create their own codes, rules etc. which have a certain meaning to that particular group.
