How is the land pollution caused ?

The following are the reasons for the land pollution :
$(1)$ The land becomes polluted when the solid waste of the households and the drainage water of urban area are disposed on the land.
$(2)$ The land becomes polluted when industries are set up over the fertile and cultivable (arable) land.
$(3)$ The land becomes polluted when the solid waste and the effluents from the industries are discharged on the land.
$(4)$ The land becomes polluted due to the mining and construction activities.
$(5)$ Excessive use of chemical fertilizers and insecticides in agriculture also pollutes the land.
$(6)$ The polythene bags (plastic) thrown on the ground become very risky for the micro-organisms which make the land very fertile.
$(7)$ Polluted water and the solid waste arc harmful for the micro-organisms. When the micro-organisms in the land are destroyed, the soil fertility is reduced. In due course of time the land becomics infertile.
