The seats of the Taluka Panchayat are decided according to the population of Taluka. The members of the Taluka Panchayat are minimum $16$ and maximum $32. 50\%$ seats are reserved for women. The election of Taluka Panchayat is held every five years. Generally, the Taluka is divided according to the total number o( members of Taluka Panchayat.The registered voters of each division elect a member of their division by secret ballot system. The members, elected in the first meeting of the Taluka Panchayat, elect the president and vice president of the Taluka Panchayat with a majority. The executive committee, the social justice committee, etc. are formed from the elected members. This is how the Taluka Panchayat is formed.
