If $x$ varies inversely as $y,$
Solution: $xy = k ($constant$) (i)$
$x = 60$ and $y = 10 $
$xy = 60 \times 10 = 600 $
$k = 60$
 when $y = 2,$ then from eq. $(i) $
$x \times 2 = k $
$2x = 600 $
$x = 300$
