VISIT TO CITY MUSEUM
Sanskar Kendra, Paldi, Ahmedabad had organised a museum “Bhartiya Kala Sanskruti” on 15th February, 2020 with the help of Gujarat Government Cultural Department. As the member of “Yuva Art Academy” I had also visited the museum. My individual report for same is as follows:
- ‘Bhartiya Kala Sanskruti” had organised museum at Paldi, Sanskar Kendra on 15th February 2020. It was inaugrated by MLA Shri Ramanbhai Vora at 9:30 A.M.
- At inaugration function officers of various organisations, Principals of various schools and various prestigious citizens of the city had remained present.
- To visit museum in the beginning pass was organised.
- Each visitor hed to cross metal detrector as a safety measure.
- The inquiry counter was put up on the righthand side of the gate. They were giving guidance regarding different stalls of different states and there various cultural products.
- At stall of every state, a representative was there to give information about the states handicraft and Artifacts.
- The selling price was indicated on the art pieces for sale.
- Most of the state’s culture depicited, carvings done on wood, idols made from stone of birds-animals, lampshades and flower pots made from Bamboo etc.
- The stall of Gujarat showed various colours of Gujarat handicrafts. It included Kutch embroidery, Patola’s from Patan, Zari work of Surat, idols made from unique stones attracted the visitors.
- Various state stalls also displayed their food, vessels and musical instruments which attracted the visitors.
- Discount was being offered on various state stalls to attract the buyers.
After visiting the museum at Sanskar Kendra, Paldi, I realised the various colours of our country represented by different states. This museum was also the sign of development.
Thanks to Gujarat State Cultural Department for organising such great exhibition of cultural art and handicraft.
