$\frac{4\text{x}+7}{9-3\text{x}}=\frac{1}{4}$

Answer

$\frac{4\text{x}+7}{9-3\text{x}}=\frac{1}{4}$
$\Rightarrow4(4\text{x}+7)=1(9-3\text{x})$ (by cross multiplication)
$\Rightarrow16\text{x}+28=9-3\text{x}$
$\Rightarrow16\text{x}+3\text{x}=9-28$
$\Rightarrow19\text{x}=-19$
$\Rightarrow\text{x}=\frac{-19}{19}=1$
$\therefore\text{x}=-1$
