⇒ 7.2 - 2.4x - 1.2x + 1.8 = 0
⇒ -2.4x - 1.2x = -(7.2 + 1.8)
L.H.S. = 2.4(3 - x) - 0.6(2x - 3)
⇒ 2.4(3 - 2.5) - 0.6(2 × 2.5 - 3)
⇒ 2.4(0.5) - 0.6(5 - 3)
⇒ 1.2 - 0.6 × 2
= 1.2 - 1.2
R.H.S. = 0
Hence x = 2.5
⇒ 7.2 - 2.4x - 1.2x + 1.8 = 0
⇒ -2.4x - 1.2x = -(7.2 + 1.8)
L.H.S. = 2.4(3 - x) - 0.6(2x - 3)
⇒ 2.4(3 - 2.5) - 0.6(2 × 2.5 - 3)
⇒ 2.4(0.5) - 0.6(5 - 3)
⇒ 1.2 - 0.6 × 2
= 1.2 - 1.2
R.H.S. = 0
Hence x = 2.5
