$5(2x - 3) - 3(3x - 7) = 5 $
$\Rightarrow 10x - 15 - 9x + 21 = 5$
$ \Rightarrow 10x - 9x - 15 + 21 = 5 $
$\Rightarrow 10x - 9x = 5 + 15 - 21$ (By transposing)
$\Rightarrow x = 20 - 21 = -1 $
$\Rightarrow x = -1$
Check: $L.H.S. = 5(2x - 3) - 3(3x - 7) $
$= 5[2 x (-1) -3] -3[3 (-1) -7] $
$= 5[-2 - 3] - 3[-3 - 7] $
$= 5x(-5) -3x(-10) $
$= -25 + 30 = 5 = R.H.S.$ Hence $x = -1$
$\Rightarrow 10x - 15 - 9x + 21 = 5$
$ \Rightarrow 10x - 9x - 15 + 21 = 5 $
$\Rightarrow 10x - 9x = 5 + 15 - 21$ (By transposing)
$\Rightarrow x = 20 - 21 = -1 $
$\Rightarrow x = -1$
Check: $L.H.S. = 5(2x - 3) - 3(3x - 7) $
$= 5[2 x (-1) -3] -3[3 (-1) -7] $
$= 5[-2 - 3] - 3[-3 - 7] $
$= 5x(-5) -3x(-10) $
$= -25 + 30 = 5 = R.H.S.$ Hence $x = -1$
