Hardy-Weinberg principle states that allele and gene frequencies in a population will remain constant from one generation to the next if certain conditions are kept constant. These conditions are : (i) Population is large (ii) Random mating (iii) Absence of mutation (iv) All members in a population are living and reproduction rate is constant. Two factors that affect Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium are : (i) Mutations, (ii) Gene Migration.
