(1) Non-metallic elements exists either solids or gases at the room temperature. (Exception: Bromine, it is a liquid.)
(2) They are non-conductors of heat and electricity.
(3) They do not possess malleability and ductility.
(4) They have lower melting points and boiling points in comparison to metals.
(5) They are non-sonorous.
