Question
State the educational methods that affect the formation of attitudes.

Answer

(1) Classical research:
  • Conjunction means to connect.
  • When one neutral stimulus combines with another stimulus it is called classical synthesis.
  • In this theory food was associated with the sound of bells.
  • In which the dog was fed several times with the sound of a bell. So the sound of a bell ringing in the absence of food gave rise to a reaction of saliva dripping from the dog's mouth.
  • In the same way, many attitudes are formed in human life.
  • E.g. Wearing certain types of clothes makes the interview go well.
  • Using certain pens will make the exam go well. Such attitudes develop due to classical connotations.
(2) Factor research:
  • Causal synthesis is that in response to which the reaction gains strength and the reaction becomes stronger.
  • If a person is rewarded by parents, teachers, friends, etc. in return for his behavior in social life, then a constructive attitude towards his behavior is formed.
  • If a person receives punishment or punishment in return for his behavior, a negative attitude is formed towards him.
  • E.g. When a child is assigned a task and is rewarded with praise when the child completes the task, the child develops a constructive attitude towards the task, and is often motivated to do it.
  • Observational education:
  • Imitation is the foundation behind observational education.
  • The child closely observes and imitates the behavior of parents, siblings, friends, teachers, neighbors, etc. Which shapes his attitude.
  • By observing the state of dislike in the behavior of another person, a child develops a constructive or negative attitude.
  • For example, if Shivaji is worshiped as Ishtadevata in the house, then the child observes the worship performed by the elders and later on he also joins in the work of worshiping Shivaji.
  • Feelings of fear, shame, embarrassment when the teacher insults the student when the student answers the question incorrectly in the classroom.
  • So it does not answer the question of developing a negative attitude.
  • Exemplary behavior:
  • As human beings are social animals, each person's behavior affects each other.
  • In which each person observes the other person's behavior, evaluates it and adopts it in their own life.
  • Most of the time, a person accepts the ideals of his life by considering parents, teachers, social workers, religious leaders, political leaders, actors, etc. as his role models.
  • E.g. Gandhiji, Abdul Kalam, Kalpana Chawla, Amitabh Bachchan, Swami Vivekananda etc. Many people who consider themselves as ideal people try to live a life like theirs.
  • It shapes the mood.
