Explanation: The present statement has been taken from 'नमो महर्षयेनित्यम्'. This statement indicates the preaching given by Guru Virajanand to Maharshi Dayanand.
With a keen desire for Sakshatakar to god, Dayanand kept wondering here and there. Inspired by a great person, he went to Mathura to meet Guru Virjanand. Guru Virjanand taught him varied knowledge and Ved-Dharma. When the study was over, Virjanand blessed him and asked him to eradicate social evils. He composed Satyarth Prakash to eradicate superstitions and pretenses prevailed in the society. He worked for the betterment of the society. His Guru asked him to spread true knowledge and the light of truth in society and to break the bondage of evil customs and to expose pretenses prevailed in the society in the name of religion.
Thus, he followed the principle of "Truth is god" and accordingly tried to spread the light of truth in society.
