Subtract: $\frac{-5}{8} \text { from } \frac{-13}{16}$

$\frac{-5}{8}$ from $\frac{-13}{16}$

 		 $1, 1$
$\therefore \text{LCM}$ of $8$ and $16=16$
$=\frac{-13}{16}-\left(\frac{-5}{8}\right)$
$ =\frac{-13 \times 1}{16 \times 1}+\frac{5 \times 2}{8 \times 2} \quad(\therefore \text { LCM of } 8 \text { and } 16=16)$
$ =\frac{-13+10}{16}=\frac{-3}{16}$
