Let a = 1.4cm, b = 4.8cm, and c = 5cm
$\big(\text{a}^2+\text{b}^2\big)=\big[(1.4)^2+(4.8)^2\big]\text{cm}^2$
$=(1.96+23.04)\text{cm}^2=25\text{cm}^2$
$\text{c}^2=(5\text{cm)}^2=25\text{cm}^2$
$\therefore\big(\text{a}^2+\text{b}^{2}\big)=\text{c}^2$
Hence, the given triangle is a right triangle.
