Answer

An alloy is a homogeneous mixture of two or more metal or a non-metal. It is prepared by first melting the primary metal and then dissolving the other element's in it in difinite proportion. It is then cooled to room temperature.
Alloy Constituents Uses
Stainless steel $Fe+Ni+Cr$ hard, to prepare rust proof equipments.
Brass $Cu+Zn$ In making of different equipments and tap.
Bronze $Cu+Sn$ In making medals, statue and valve.
Solder $Pb+Sn$ For welding and electrical wire
