Tertiary sector: It is the backbone of all the sectors. It covers activities that help in the development of primary and secondary sectors. These activities do not produce goods but they are an aid or support for the production process. Since these activities generate services rather than goods, the tertiary sector is also called service sector.
Example: Transport, storage, communication, banking, etc.
