1. Water Resources:

  • The water of springs, rivers, lakes and ponds is called 'surface water'.
  • The water obtained from wells and abyssal wells is called 'ground water'.
  • Water is used in agriculture, household, industries, construction etc.
  • Water is essential for the ecosystem.
  • Seawater also plays an important role as a resource.
2. Land and lands:
  • The land used in agriculture is called 'Soil' and when it is used for other purposes; it is called 'Land'.\
  • Accommodation, transport route, industries. Humans use land to create forests, reservoirs, etc.
  • Mountains, plains, highlands or valleys etc. are landforms.
3. Minerals:
  • Many of the objects in the earth's crust have been acquired by humans as a resource through scientific discoveries.
  • Mineral oil, mineral coal, iron, copper, manganese, gold etc. are important minerals.
  • Minerals are important for industrial development.
4. Animal and human resources:
  • The animal husbandry business is mainly done to get milk, meat, wool etc.
  • Livestock develops the dairy industry, the warm clothing industry and the commercial meat industry.
  • Livestock is used in agriculture and transportation.
  • Resources are central to human geography.
  • The use of land, water, soil, minerals, agriculture, animal husbandry, industry, trade, transportation, etc., is made possible by human beings.
