What is menstrual cycle? Which hormones regulate menstrual cycle?

Menstrual Cycle: The cycle changes that takes place in the female reproductive system for gamete formation in primates eg. monkey, apes and human being, is called menstrual cycle. In human female, one menstrual cycle completes in 28 days. The first menstruation begins at puberty and is called menarche whereas cessation of menstrual cycle at the age of about 45-50 years is called menopause.
Hormones that regulate menstrual cycle in female are follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), estrogens, Lutenising Hormone (LH) and Progestrone.
