The species of animals of a particular region are referred to as fauna.
The grasses,shrubs and trees growing in a particular region is called its vegetation.

Endemic species refer to those species of plants and animals which are restricted to a prticular area. Anything which is striking or mysteriously different or unusual, it is called as exotic.
