Question
Why does 1M HCl solution have a higher concentration of H+ ions than 1M CH3COOH solution?

Answer

1M HCl has higher concentration of H+ ions because HCl is a strong acid while CH3COOH is a weak acid. So HCl dissociate completely in aqueous solution but CH3COOH dissociate partially in aqueous solution according to it's dissociation coefficient. So when comparing same concentration of both acids HCl yields more H+ ions.
