Why is curd more nutritive than milk?

Curd is obtained as a result of fermentation of milk by bacteria. Lactic acid bacteria, Lactobacilli, take part in the fermentation of milk into curd. LAB are present in curd in large number. As the bacterial population increases in curd, quantity of vitamin $B _{12}$, also enhances in curd. It results in improvement of nutritional quality of curd. Lactic acid present in curd, protects from diseases caused due to microbes present in the stomach.
