Metamorphic Rocks: In certain specific conditions, the form, composition and other characteristics of rocks get totally changed. Due to the combined effect of two factors i. e., high temperature and pressure of rock state, the igneous and sedimentary rocks change into a totally new form. This way, the newly formed rocks are known as metamorphic rocks. Marble and quartzite are best example of Metamorphic Rocks. Types of Metamorphic Rocks
