The heavy rainfall for the past three days has disrupted normal life in the city. There is water logging in the low-lying areas of the city. Rain waters have flooded the homes of people, forcing the people to leave their homes and belongings and move to safer areas. Traffic in the city has come to a standstill. Many vehicles were seen stuck in the waterlogged areas. Schools and colleges have declared a week's holiday. Fearing the spread of diseases, authorities have kept the hospitals across the city on high alert. The Met. Department has forecast heavy rainfall for the next $48$ hours.
