Answer
India has diversity of language, religion and culture and, as a consequence, there are many linguistic and religious minorities.- With a view to protect the interests of these minorities Cultural and Educational Rights find a place in the Fundamental Rights.
Minorities have been given the right to preserve their culture, customs, traditions, script language and religion.
They have been given the right to establish‘minority’ educational institutions to preserve and develop their language, script and religion.
The state / government makes no discrimination in giving grants financial assistance to these institutions.
However, in the larger public interest, the state government can acquire their properties with paying adequate compensation.
The diverse and rich heritage of the country is preserved by the Cultural and Educational Rights. This helps in promoting national integration.
