Write the electron dot structure of C3H8.

Carbon, a group 4A element, has four electrons and forms four bonds. Hence each C atom in propane forms four bonds. Hence three carbons are combining with 8 hydrogens each of which forms one bond. Joining the three carbons and adding the appropriate number of hydrogens to each yields only one possible structure.
