According to Purana, Yaksha, Kinnara, Gaudharva etc. are partial divine race. Yaksha is considered to be sacred. The hero of "Meghdoot" composed by the great poet Kalidasa is also some Yaksha. Kuber is the well-known king of Yaksha. The Puranas contain tales of many Yaksha."
Yakshas are the servant of Kuber. They possess a mouth like horse and their rest of the body is like human being. They are great music lover and are promoter of music. They also possess knowledge like Anima, Laghima and Prapti.
