Describe the following  experiment with Diagram :To check whether the given liquids mix with water or not.
Answer
Substances given : Vinegar, mustard oil, lemon juice, coconut oil and kerosene. Apparatus: Five glasses, spoon. Material : Water
Procedure:
$(1)$ Take five glass tumblers and fill them halfway with water.
$(2)$ Add three spoonful of vinegar in first glass and three spoonful of lemon juice in second and so on.
$(3)$ Stir it well and let it stand for five minutes.
$(4 )$ Observe whether the liquid mixes with water and record your observations as shown in Table
Liquid mixes well/does not mix
Vinegar mixes well
Mustard oil does not mix
Lemon juice mixes well
Coconut oil does not mix
Kerosene does not mix
Observation:
$(1)$ Vinegar and lemon juice mix well with water.
$(2 )$ Mustard oil, coconut oil and kerosene do not mix with water. Conclusion:
$(1)$ Vinegar and lemon juice mix with water.
$(2)$ Mustard oil, coconut oil and kerosene do not mix with water and form a different layer on top of it.

Describe the following  experiment with Diagram : To check whether given solid substances are soluble in water or not.
Answer
Substances given : Sugar, salt, chalk powder, sand and sawdust. Materials : Five glasses, spoon. 
Procedure:
$(1)$ Take five glasses or beakers.
$(2)$ Fill each one of them about two thirds with water.
$(3)$ Add a spoonful of sugar to the first glass, salt to the second and similarly, add small amounts of the other substances into the other glasses.
$(4)$ Stir the contents of each of them with a spoon.
$(5)$ Wait for a few minutes.
$(6)$ Observe what happens to the substances added to water and note your observations as shown in table

Sugar Disppear
Chalk powder Does not Disappear
Sawdust Does not Disappear

$(1)$ Salt and sugar completely disappear in water.
$(2)$ Sand, chalk powder and sawdust do not disappear when dissolved in water.
Conclusion: Sugar and salt are soluble in water whereas sand, chalk powder and sawdust are insoluble in water.
