अनपराद्धा अत्रभवती' the excerpt from "प्रतिमानाहकम्" contains the incident of the curse inflicted upon the king Dashratha. To prove herself innocent, Kaikeyi describes the incident of curse given to Dashratha.
    When the king Dashratha went to forest for hunting, he heard a sound like wild elephant. So he shot an arrow which shoots in the direction of sound. But it was not a wild elephant. There was Shravan who was filling pot from the lake. Dashratha killed her by mistake. The father of Shravana cursed Dashratha that you will also die like me due to the separation of son. Thus Kaikeyi convinced Bharata that the curse was unavoidable. So she demanded exile for Rama. She spoke 14 years instead of 14 days due to nervousness.
