The tropical evergreen forests are also called “Tropical Rain forests. These forests have a dense canopy.
These are found in equatorial and tropical regions.
The climate of this region is very hot and humid due to heavy rains.
Due to this geographical favour, the trees here never shed their leaves simultaneously. New leaves keep blossoming, which is why the forests are evergreen throughout the year.
Major trees here are rosewood, ebony wood, mahogany, rubber, etc. The Tropical Evergreen forests are found in the Andaman-Nicobar islands in India.
