Negative features of the soviet system:
  1. More importance was given to the state and communist party.
  2. No other political party or the opposition party was allowed under the system.
  3. The system was very bureaucratic and authoritarian.
  4. It lacks of democracy and the absence of freedom of speech.
  5. Most of the institutions of Soviet State needed reforms.
  6. The Party refused to recognize the urge of people from different republics.
  7. Rivalry with the U.S. proved to be over expensive.
