The elections of District Panchayat elections are held every five years. Generally, the district is divided according to the total number of members of the district panchayat. The registered voters of each division elect a member of their department by secret ballot system. Elected members elect the president and vice president of the district panchayat in the first meeting of the district panchayat. Committees like the executive committee, the social justice committee, the education committees, the construction committee, the health and hygiene committee, etc. are formed from the elected members.
