If two lines intersect each other then:

  1. Vertically opposite angles are equal.
    Solution:

    $\angle\text{A}+\angle\text{B}=180 $ (Linear Pair)
    $\angle\text{B}+\angle\text{C}=180$ (Linear Pair)
    On equating ablove equations, we get
    $\angle\text{A}+\angle\text{B}=\angle\text{B}+\angle\text{C}$
    $\angle\text{A}=\angle\text{C}$
    Similarly, $\angle\text{B}=\angle\text{D}.$
