Heart is considered as a sense of perception. It performs the role of sense of knowledge and sense of action. Moreover, heart is identified as determination and choice making object. Determination and choice making are two ways of thinking. Determination indicates a strong resolves while choice making indicates confusion, whether to do or not to do. Determination should be welcomed but choice making should not.
Welcomed determination also has two ways-Shiv and Ashiv. Shiv means benevolence while Ashiv means non-benevolence. Here it is desired that way to determination always remains to be of Shiv and of benevolence.
Any deed performed with Shiv determination becomes an action of righteonsness while the deed with Ashiv-determination becomes sin. Therefore a person's heart should always make Shiv-determination.
