The terms reasonable control and limitation' are used in the context of the Fundamental Rights.
→ The rights are not absolute and the state has power to impose reasonable control on the exercise of the rights by the citizens.
The Right to Freedom is conditioned by a number of restrictions for the preservation of sovereignty, territorial integrity and unity of India, to maintain law and order and friendly relations with the other countries, to prevent the contempt of the court, defamation and incitement to violence. The constitution empowers the state to impose reasonable control and limitations for the above purposes.
→ The citizens have freedom to assemble. The limitations are 'peaceful assembly' and 'without arms'. The police authority may not allow a public meeting if the same is likely to cause problem of maintaining law and order.
→ The associations, organisations and the unions function within the purview of law.
→ The state/government has the power to lay down qualifications to practise certain professions like medicine, law and accounting. This right does not give 'licence to undertake illegal professions.
