Swami Vivekananda was born on $12th$ January, 1863. His father's name was Vishwanath Dutt and his mother's name was Bhuvaneshwari Devi. His actual name was Narendranath Dutt. He was a disciple of Ramakrishna Paramahansa. Swami Vivekananda founded the Ramakrishna Mission in $1897 \ AD$ to promote Ramakrishna Paramahansa's liberal religious ideas and spirit of service. Swami Vivekananda attended the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago, $USA (1893 \ AD)$. He charmed everyone by addressing the members of the World Parliament of Religions with the words. 'Brothers and Sisters'. He then travelled to various countries and spread Indian culture. Preaching of Swami Vivekananda :
$( 1 )$ He vehemently opposed the prevalent social evils and religious practices.
$(2)$ According to him. he did not believe in any religion or God that cannot wipe a widow's tears or put a piece of bread in the mouth of a helpless child.
$(3)$ He used to say, "First food, then religion".
$(4)$ He saw God in every human being. According him, "Service to man is service to God".
$(5)$ He urged youth. "Arise, Awake and Stop not till the goal is achieved". (उतिष्ठत जाग्रत, प्राप्य वरान्निबोधत।) Depth of wisdom and freshness of words were experienced in his speech. He became symbol of new thinking and a source of great power for the future.
