When there is no doubt about the death of the last living species of a wild animal, that species is called 'Extinct wildlife'.
Cheetah from the forests of India and tiger from the forests of Gujarat are totally extinct. Sparrow, vulture, saras (crane), ghorad (great Indian bustard), gharial (crocodile), Gangetic dolphin, etc. are on the verge of extinction.
The Otter (Water Fowl) found in the Narmada, Tapi and Sabarmati rivers is also in danger of extinction.
