Question
Explain the instructive paradigm.

Answer

  • Instructive means the process of meditation, memory, thought, imagination planning, decision making etc.
  • Depending on how the person interprets the situation in front of him, his behavior is determined as normal or abnormal.
  • There are three main components of a cognitive paradigm. (1) Meditation (2) Memory (3) Organizational structures.
(1) Attention:
  • There are so many stimuli in front of you.
  • We cannot pay attention to all those stimuli at once so the person pays attention to the selected stimulus.
  • Which has selective stimuli.
  • The process of meditation is causal for diseases such as debilitating psychosis.
(2) Memory:
  • Life experiences or events remain in the mind in the form of memories.
  • Abnormal behavior is seen in the interaction of a person when the memory of the negative experiences is more proportionate to the constructive experience.
  • Depressive memory is often found in the depressed patient.
(3) Organizational structures:
  • Certain experiences in the mind of a person are seen in the form of organization.
  • A person's perception of himself is formed on the basis of experience.
  • This is known as "self skiing".
  • Which are in a constructive or prohibitive form.
  • For example, if a child is praised by a parent or family member, the child's attitude towards himself develops constructively.
  • In which a constructive self scheme like "I am a good man, wise, diligent" develops.
  • When a child is punished, despised, insulted, abnormal behavior develops as a negative self-scheme develops.
