Heart is considered as a sense of perception. It performs the role of sense of knowledge and sense of action. Heart is very unstable. Therefore it is said, 'मन एव मनुष्याणां कारणं बन्धमोक्षयो ।' Heart is the cause of bondage and salvation. Heart is identified as determination and choice making object. The happiness and sorrow depends upon the heart. Therefore it is said that, "Where there is will, there is way." A person with malicious heart can not make progress in life. The heart is related to the soul. Thus prayer is offered for Shiv determination in the heart.
