According to the law of livelihood and routine life described in मनुस्मृति, a person engaged in evil actions lives a happy life in the first three stages. In the first stage of life, the person doing immoral deeds makes progress, in the second stage he gets happiness. In the third stage he wins his enemies and good people.
Thus, a person doing immoral deeds gets happiness in the initial stage of his life. But according to the principle of deeds, ultimately he gets destroyed. In this way, such wicked people can never be happy because they have to pay for their evil deeds. Such evil deeds and bad qualities like greed, anger, pride etc. cause the downfall of a person. The person who does not expect anything while doing his deeds is free from all sorts of bondages.
Thus considering the end result of evil deeds, a person should practice good conduct and do good deeds to protect himself from the downfall.
