Question
Understand the components of binomial signals.

Answer

  • In visual acuity, when a person looks at a stimulus with two eyes, a slightly different image of the stimulus appears on both his eyelids.
  • Which are called binocular signals.
  • There are two main types. (1) Dual image (2) Bipolar heterogeneity
  • Double statue:
  • When we concentrate on a nearby object and try to see another object or object behind it, two images of the object behind appear.
  • The person clearly does not experience the two statues.
  • But only the illusion of it arises.
  • Dimensional heterogeneity:
  • When we observe any object or stimulus with both eyes, the scene of that stimulus does not look exactly the same.
  • Variations are seen in the sight of both eyes.
  • This is because the distance between the two eyes is about two and a half inches.
  • The area on the left side of the left eye is slightly more visible as there is a difference in the location of the gallbladder on both eyelids.
  • The area on the right side is more visible with the right eye.
  • This condition is called retinal heterogeneity.
  • But when we observe the object with both eyes, the object does not look different. Thus, distance and depth are realized.
