Lok Adalat is established for the purpose of ensuring that economically poor and socially backward people and victims of natural disaster are not deprived from justice for any reason.
Lok Adalat is the best option for solving disputes. Long term cases are disposed of in the Lok Adalat in such a way that ‘no one loses or no one wins’. There is no expense to the parties to file a case. In the court, both parties get satisfactory and conciliatory justice. The dispute is resolved when the decision of Lok Adalat is acceptable for both the parties. The order of Lok Adalat is the final order. Both parties save money and time by getting justice. Permanent Lok Adalats have been established in the districts by the State Government of Gujarat Bar Association, Gujarat High Court, Ahmedabad. There is no court fee to file a case or to take any action in a permanent Lok Adalats.
